Question by orchid131: How many teachers out there are unhappy with their teaching career?
I like some things about the career (especially the rewards when students learn and appreciate you) but in my 3 years teaching, I find it’s so stressful and some kids just don’t care.

What are some career choices that involve diving?

Question by Far: What are some career choices that involve diving?
I’ve considered marine biologist for my career once, but I heard from a very wise man that it would be a bad choice (don’t ask the reason). Any cool diving jobs out there?

Answer by Helpful Hank
A friend of mine volunteers for the fire department in his town as a diver. They have a lot of rivers and lakes around, and sometimes they have to go pull out bodies.

Obviously, the most common dive career would be that of dive instructor. Lots of competition, but you can’t beat the work locations!

What type of career fields can one get into with a biopsychology degree?

Question by : What type of career fields can one get into with a biopsychology degree?
I am majoring in Psychology. I still have not figured out exactly what I want to do with it. I know that I have always been interested in crime scene Investigations, catching the bad guy type. Would you suggest earning my degree toward biopsychology? I want to profile criminals, Would biopsycholgy have anything to do with that kind of career?

Best answer:

Answer by clemea
The most related field in psychology for crime investigations is forensic psychology (or criminology with psychology). Not many universities offer this though.

You are on the right track, however. Biopsychology is something most universities offer, and is the closest next thing.

I myself want to get into behavioural neuroscience (same thing), and been looking at the thesis topics I can choose from when I start my Phd next year. One of the topics is forensic psychology. This is one I considered taking up, since I have the same interest as you.

So I would say that definitely a biopsychology course can help you get into that sort of career.

Question by : What is a career that would pay enough to buy a house?
I love reading, and writing. I also have this “thing” for touchscreen devices (like the iPhone). When I grow up, I want to buy (not rent) a house and I want to know a career(s) that would fit my interests and pay enough to buy a house.

I suggest that you take an aptitude test. This test will match your skills and talents to real careers. Then you can decide which one will allow you to make enough to buy a house. Hope this helps.

What kind of career could I get with a bachelors degree in computer science?

2月 20, 2012 · Posted in 未分類 · 2 Comments

Question by : What kind of career could I get with a bachelors degree in computer science?
Ok, so I am working on receiving my bachelors degree in Computer Science. When I finish that, I plan on getting an associates degree in Business and Management. What type of career could I get with both of the degree combined? And what would the salary be? Also, is this even a good combination. Any information will help.

Best answer:

Answer by Sergio__
An associate degree in business won’t really do much for your career at that point since, as an entry level computer scientist nobody will give you a management position in the computer science industry (which is what you’ve been working hard for). Also, an associate degree only requires lower division courses, so you won’t even be well prepared.

I would advice working in the industry for a couple of years and going back to school for an MBA. This degree added to your experience in the field could take you to a project management position. By the way, after completing a BS in computer science, getting a business degree will be a piece of cake (no more long nights coding).

What kind of career could I have to do with criminals?

Question by Answer-er: What kind of career could I have to do with criminals?
I would only like to go to university for four years, but I’m thinking a cop or something like that would be a good career path for me. What other options would I have in a justice department?

Best answer:

Answer by purplepurplesage
Cop sounds like a good choice.
Prosecuting attorney sounds like a good one too. But that would probably require a few more than 4 years of school.

Question by mshealerless: How do you think the present economy will affect your decisions to making a career choice?
How do you think the present economy will affect your decisions in making a career choice for the first time or for a life change?

Does it affect or change your career decisions? Do you have concerns? I’m concerned about the future. I want to make good decisions in choosing a new occupation that can suit me as a person or my personal needs, and lead me to better opportunities.

I think it’s affecting my career choices a lot. I used to want to be a flight attendant, but with the economy now, the demand for it is much less and flight attendants are being let go left and right now. I’ve always wanted a job that I actually enjoy, but now I just need to find one that pays good, whether I like the job or not.
this economy sucks right now!
