I am a female, 39 yrs old I don’t like my job (factory). thinking on medical for the national guard. my husband is in the national guard and his mos is different than medical. i can’t retire for another 20 plus years. Really need a change so I can be happy with my career. we have 2 grown daughters and 2 boys 11, 12. Is this a good idea for me?

No it is not too late. You need to arrange to see your local recruiter. That would probably be the best person to ask about that.You will still have to go through basic training.

I just took a semester off of school(sophomore year) and I just applied to a film school. I love movies but I would rather have some security by returning to college and majoring in a more definite career. I prefer this career be one that allows me to be creative and visual.

My first thought was Visual Arts, but that’s not much of a steady career.
I’d say you’re looking at Graphic Design.

I love art and fashion, im quite good in math, biology, chemistry and languages.
I love to travel and meet new people.
I HATE physics, so no careers do to with physics.
I really want to work in the field of fashion, but what in fashion?!

Scaffolder – Construction Apprenticeships
Scaffold is usually made of metal tubes, fittings and metal or timber platforms, or can be proprietary systems, put together by scaffolders so that other workers can reach otherwise inaccessible parts of the structure they’re working on. Safety is critical, both for those erecting the scaffold and the people working on the scaffold and those below. Scaffolders work outside in all weathers and are required to work at height.

Integrated English as a Second Language and Apprenticeship Program (Pierce County) United Union of Roofers, Local 153, Clover Park Technical College and Pierce College pooled their resources and expertise to help Spanish-speaking apprentices overcome language barriers to completing the roofer apprenticeship program. The collaboration created an instructional program that integrated technical and language skills, making them more relevant and easier to learn. At one time, most non-English speaking apprentices did not complete roofing apprenticeship training. Today, with a retention rate of 100 percent, this program is a model for similar programs around the state.
