I am really into nature photography and have been building a portfolio using my Canon Eos Rebel.
What are some career paths in photography that would fit this interest? Also, what is a good way to get your foot in the door and actually get these positions? Thanks in advance!

99.5% of people who want this do NOT shoot anything sellable, they just overestimate their own work. The remaining 0.5% struggle as freelancers. A very select few find full time employment as a nature photographer with magazines and the like.
By far the most money in this field is being made giving workshops and training courses to amateurs.

Math can be used to measure statistical probabilities. Law enforcement may use statistics to do forecasting for a variety of reasons. The FBI uses statistics to report various types of criminal activity, such as comparisons of the number of murders to population. Knowledge about the criminal justice system would assist you in knowing how the system works.

My boyfriend of 5 years is currently in Iraq and after his deployment he will be back in the states. I will soon be continuing with my college career but I don’t know what I should look for since there’s no doubt traveling would be involved. We plan to get married when he comes home and I would rather move with him than stay in one place at a stationary job. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

I like working in photoshop and indesign and i like making business cards and cards and just designing things, but i am slow at it, I’m a total perfectionist and it drives me crazy! But i have TWO questions.
1. What career should i look into if i want to do that type of stuff? Would that be graphic design?
2. How can I become better at doing things like that? I don’t want to get a job and then be slow but where do i get the practice?

It’s called Graphic Design. I want to pursue a career in that field if acting/modeling fails over time. You can go to your community college and take a course in it. Or if your high school offers it, take it there. Or you could do like I did: Download photoshop, get a serial, and than learn on my own. I’m honestly getting As all the time in my graphic class and I just started it this year. I’ve been using Photoshop CS3, 4 & 5 since 2006. Well I just got the CS5 suite recently. I’d think you’d enjoy it if you like editing. It’s a fun hobby and could be a great career if you’re really good.
