Q&A: What is the salary of a Veterinary Technician working in a research institute?

Question by Hello_Hello: What is the salary of a Veterinary Technician working in a research institute?
I know it all depends on where you work. Like someone working in NYC might get paid higher than someone working in another state. So if you know the average salary could you please tell me the location you are referring to?

Best answer:

Answer by catsmeow150
The average for taking a federal job as a vet tech in a research lab/USDA lab wasn’t much. About $ 10.00-12.00 for a non licensed vet. I did take this job because in a private practice I could make $ 14.00/hr, so my job choice was a no brainer.

What is the average salary for a certified Laser Hair Removal Technician?

3月 20, 2009 · Posted in Salary · Comment

Question by wilsonsarahmarie: What is the average salary for a certified Laser Hair Removal Technician?
My mother is interested in becoming a certified laser hair removal technician. I realize the location and company size are important factors when asking this question, but what is the salary range for this type of position in the Oklahoma and Texas regions?

Best answer:

Answer by mms
At my clinic in Houston TX the people who operate the machines are nurses (RN) and that’s a 4 year degree. Then they have additional training on the hair removal machines. They make about 40k starting out.
Which is about the average starting nurse salary

But if a clinic will train you on a machine w/o a degree then they will pay you less, and I wouldn’t want to be the person who receives their services

I trust my nurses with lasers, not a techie
