I heard that being an executive chef of a hotel has a decent salary, but I’m curious as to how much one makes.

The chefs that have come through the hotel/restaurant/golf resort that I work at, have made anywhere from $ 45,000 to $ 80,000 per year. Sous chefs make prob. 35- 40,000$ at the most. I would classify the restaurant at the resort I work at as 7/10. If at a “9 or 10″, you would be making more than 80,000 probably. Experience, experience, experience.
I thought about that myself. I’ve been cooking for about 8 years and have learned a lot. I haven’t attended culinary school, but I might eventually.
